Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF)

Basic SMSF structure

SMSFs:

• have less than 5 members
• make each individual fund trustee a fund member
• ensure no member is an employee of another member (unless related)
• can be a corporate entity
• ensure no fund trustee receives payment for services as a trustee
• must be registered with, reports to and is regulated by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
